PDF: Win the Buddha Game (Copyright 2008)
Rules of the Game:
Object: Roll a 6 after the number of players gets down to 2 players and you win the Buddha!
Let’s assume you have 6 players. Roll one Dice (do not use two Dice) – if you roll a 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 – you stay in the game – if you roll a 6 – you’re out.
Keep doing this until you’re down to 2 players. Once you’re down to 2 players, the first person to roll a 6 Wins the Buddha!
This is a win-win for everyone except for maybe the last person in the game! Players 1- 4 have rolled a 6, so they can call themselves a Buddha. Player number 5 has also rolled a 6 to win the game, so they are a Buddha too! The last person in the game is their last roll, hopefully it's not a 1 or a 2.
The Six Realms in Buddhism are as follows:
- Naraka - Hell
- Preta - Hungry Ghost
- Asura - Demi God
- Tiryag-yoni - Animal
- Manuoya - Human Being
- The Buddha
- Deva - God realm
We've had a bit of fun with the imagery. Number 4 is my Dawg Ziggy. : ) Guess who Number 5 is, and then imagine what could have been done with Number 1. Use only one Dice, not two, then you can say 'no one can become God', because God is number 7 and a 6 sided Dice only goes up to number 6.
The PDF download also explains the Six Realms in detail, so this is a great educational tool to use in Interfaith groups, Buddhism groups, or any religious group trying to learn about other belief practices. Please leave a comment to let us know what you think about our new "Win the Buddha" game.
