APPLETON (FOX VALLEY AREA), WISCONSIN -
INTERFAITH SPIRIT QUEST (ISQ) - a new type of interfaith
spiritual community - directed by an
Interfaith Minister/Guide/Director and other volunteers. We are looking
for forward thinking individuals to join us both as participants and as
loving service volunteers who are energized by the idea of spiritual
harmony & wholeness!
Interfaith Spirit Quest (ISQ) is a God-loving, faith-based, interfaith/inter-spiritual movement that is dedicated to helping its members/attendees attain spiritual harmony and wholeness. Using the Wisdom Literature of the ages (which includes modern times), we select the Core Values, Sacred Ceremonies and Activities of each major religion and integrate them into our Teachings, Activities & Services here at ISQ.
Science, Spirituality & Philosophy - The following three facets of our personality, of how we view the world,
must all connect in order for us to experience wholeness and spiritual
harmony:
- Science - physical - material reality (how things are)
- Spiritual - spiritual/religious visionary (how things can be)
- Philosophy - mind - theory in practice (how to get there)
Science shows us how things are, the physical reality of all that is known. We recognize that truth, as well as life, evolves and changes with the gradual development of our knowledge base and our personal experiences. Spirituality, or Religion, shows us how things can be through envisioning a world of love, beauty, goodness, sweetness and light! Philosophy shows us how to get there in theory using the reality of the science mind and the vision of the spiritual mind. Putting them all together is the individual's purpose in this life here on Earth. We are creating a more balanced and majestic world for our future through our efforts to become what God hopes for us!
Each
major religion has a Core Value and a unique way to express it
- ISQ is one light to the wisdom to be found in these other religions.
Instead of just one way, one path, we believe there are many paths. We
seek to be deeply spiritual, but not too religious.
New spirit, new life, new living. Create sacred ceremonies and joyful celebrations that are meaningful and majestic. Make everything new again. As an interfaith/inter-spiritual organization, we are not limited to any particular text or tradition, but here are most commonly used sources of our inspiration (which casts a wide net).

Gatherings - Meetups: We meet at various times and locations during the month. On alternate Saturday mornings, we usually meet at the Atlas Coffee Mill in Appleton, WI, where we are focused on creating spiritual community through activities and events - such as art projects, games, special events, with plenty of opportunity for spiritually minded discussion. We also meet at other times throughout the month for special events in the community or around the state of Wisconsin - events which may include spiritual ceremonies and celebrations, spiritual tours and retreats, spiritual cinema nights, community service projects, interfaith/inter-spiritual discussions with members and guests, or as invited guests of local religious worship centers (churches, synagogues, mosques and other religious communities). (Worship Centers take note: If you would enjoy an interfaith/inter-spiritual conversation with ISQ Friends & Guests, or if you would like us to speak to your group - we would love to hear from you - please contact us!)
Why we Gather: We gather for the purpose of creating a new type of interfaith/inter-spiritual community circle. We are focused on creating conversations that help us develop a greater understanding of God, tools for opening up to the power of the Spirit, activities that generate transformations, and service that teaches as well as helps. We do this for the purpose bringing Glory to God by helping each other become what God hopes for each of us.
As facilitator and interfaith minister/guide/director, my teacher is Jesus, my experience is God. It has always been my goal to provide spiritual motivation for the purposes of promoting truth, beauty, goodness, love, understanding, harmony and peace - respecting the universal teachings of numerous spiritual paths. Through continuing college level education in the field of holistic interfaith theology, I hope to be a minister that guides with integrity, excellence and caring.
God is our Everything: We know that the Creator's got it covered, and that whichever path you find yourself on, your journey will eventually lead you right to the heart of God. When you choose to do what's right, you are definitely on the right path. The love in our hearts is really the heart of God.
We welcome men and women from all faith backgrounds, from any political persuasion. You will find that we promote independent thinking - with a slight lean to the right or left according to personal preference. Extreme sports are fun, extreme politics are not. We are not a political advocacy or social justice group. We're not afraid of or opposed to discussing politics, it can be interesting, beneficial and fun, but please understand that we think your personal politics are your business - creating spiritual harmony and wholeness is our business!
Interfaith Spirit Quest 'members' are called Interfaith or ISQ Friends (or guests). One can continue to practice and/or belong to the religion of their heart while also being an ISQ Friend - there is no conflict on our end. New discoveries and realizations may conflict with some of the Non-Core-Value belief structures still held by some religions. Only the believer can decide whether the conflict is too great or presents a problem. We believe we can co-exist by viewing ourselves as interfaith pioneers in a world where change is inevitable and direction is directed. Many people currently hold a disenchanted view of the world, they have lost their sense of wonder and trust. We seek to restore your personal relationship and connection to God, to humanity and nature by creating positive transformations and transitions into spiritual harmony and wholeness.
